Placing funds and other financial assets in the hands of the financial market professionals requires a great deal of trust from customers. If these professionals fail to act in an ethical and trustworthy manner the potential cost to customers, the economy and society is high. Consequently, professionals in the financial markets in whatever role, occupation or profession, are held to a high standard of ethical behaviour. In addition they are routinely required in various fit and proper certifications under regulations to attest to their integrity and good ethics.
This one-day workshop aims to give a general introduction to ethics and provide practical guidance to professionals in the financial market who grapple with real ethical dilemmas. Throughout the workshop case studies will be presented to cement the concepts discussed.
